SILVIO MOSER'S BRABHAM FOR GPL these files will allow you to have Silvio Moser drive in GPL. Moser drove a brabham BT20 in 1968, the files are made for the GPL brabham, so it's not a real BT20 as there haven't been any changes to the 3do. the paintjob is not accurate to one single race, it's sort of a mix up. moser had no. 22 in zandvoort 68 and the white field with name in monza 68. i took what i liked and put it together. the package contains: - moser's carskin - helmet in high and low resolution - driver's face - driver photo - driver.ini - two player carskins, one with the plain car, another with empty white namespaces to add your name plus cockpit textures. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ INSTALLATION make sure you have bruce's brabham plus 3d helmets installed. (if you have 2D helmets, choose a green helmet for moser) - copy mose.pbf into your gpl\layout folder - copy bra18.mip, mos18a.mip, mosface.mip, f03face.mip, f18helm.mip and moshelm.mip into your brabham folder. - copy bra18.3do and rename it to mos18a.3do - open driver.ini, choose a driver you want to replace (there are plenty of coopers around) replace the chosen driver with the contents of moser.ini (check the number of the replaced driver_XX to be sure it's correct. i think that should work, at least it did for me. there may be other possibilities to change drivers,do it the way it works best for you. voodo or other "rather difficult" graphics card users should probably use the lo-res helmet. find it in the helmet folder and rename it. and remember: ALWAYS BACKUP before doing any changes ;-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ COPYRIGHT: original 1967 base driver.ini by daniel cean-bermudez, slightly changed for 1968 original cockpit textures by peter o´connor (GPL:W!), changed to fit moser's red brabham carskins, helmet and driver face by bob_hund / david j. hotz feel free to edit and change whatever you don't like or want to improve. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CREDITS & THANKS: photos from motorracingretro, LAT, silviomoser.ch and "automobile year" 1967 & 69 (published by EDITA S.A. lausanne - just in case you find any of those yearbooks, buy 'em. they're great) thanks a lot to rufer for helping me out with a 3D helmet brab. cristian aguilera alcayaga for the idea to make silvio's cars daniel cean-bermudez for the work on the driver.ini martin for his computer everyone at racesimcentral forums (and if i forgot someone: thanks) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ and now get that thing on track and enjoy! bob_hund / david j. hotz - august 24, 2002
